Age category: 6-12 y.o. 

Course overview:Perfect for beginners, Initiation introduces kids to the world of Latin dancing. Students will learn the basics of Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, and more. Building on the basics, this class helps young dancers develop coordination and learn simple steps in Latin and Ballroom styles. A logical follow-up to Twinkle Toes and Boutchoux.

Performances:

• DANZA WONDERLAND (Christmas showdance)( December)

• DANZA DEL SOL (end of year showdance)( May)

*Plan extra cost for competition gear and events

Dress Code:

• Girls:Studio Danza T-shirt or black T-shirt/leotard, Black skirt or dress (leggings allowed 10+)

  Shoes: Latin dance shoes for kids (square heel only) – white/tan or black/leopard practice shoes (Supadance, Zymdancestyle, Amazon, AliExpress, etc.) . Hair tied up, optional tights.

  Water bottle, deodorant in dance bag (age 8+)

• Boys:  Studio Danza T-shirt, or black/white T-shirt, Black flexible or dance pants

  Shoes: Latin dance shoes for kids (Supadance, Zymdancestyle, Amazon, AliExpress, etc.)

  Black socks, water bottle, deodorant in dance bag (age 8+)
